Our Family and our vacation habbits
I would like to start with the introduction of our family and with a short description of our vacation habbits so you you can judge for yourselves if your habbits come close to ours and hence the information you will find in this site will be of any use for you.

We our a four-member family. Today (2004) our children are 8 (girl) and 4 (boy) years old. |
We are not funs of summer holidays in luxury hotels and the reason is not only economical. We prefer to look around and discover our vacations destination. So, to pay for a luxury hotel just for a few hours of sleep isn't worth it. Contariwize we prefer luxury hotels for our winter vacations because the day is shorter and we have to spend a lot of time in the hotel.
We spend a lot of time in each beach we visit (usualy 12:00 to 18:00 and add to time to get there and return). There is no noon sleep with the exception of a little sleep in the beach (if the kids are quiet enough).
What concers our swimming spot selections, a beach is mandatory. Because of the kids, we cannot choose a spot with nice blue waters if a beach isn't present. Kids need space to play and so we have to look for beaches and carry around all the necesary equipment (sun umbrella, beach toys etc). If you don't have kids or if your kids can live without a beach, then Lefkas will offer to you endless choices of swimming spots with blue and crystal clear waters.
When we return home from the beach, we take our dinner in the house and then we go out for a drink or ice cream. Some afternoons we combine dinner in a restaurant with drink or ice cream in a bar.
