We are talking about 4 beaches in the northern part of Lefkas bay which are located in the mainland (Etoloakarnania).
The sea there is calm and the color of the water perfect, especially during the morning hours. After 2-3 in the noon there are very low waves due the southern winds that blow in the bay. Later in the afternoon the sea gets calm again as the winds turn and blow from N-NW directions.
The beach marked as waypoint P+FANARI1 has no road access, but it's probably visited by daily cruise boats that leave people there for swimming. Though, we did not meet any of these boats whenever we visited the beach.

Beach P+FANARI2 is larger and has road access through a small rocky road and is visited by very few residents of a nearby village. It's a favorite destination for sailboats and there you can see large numbers of them moored off-shore. This beach was our favorite out of the 4 beaches of the area. |
Beach P+FANARI3 is a tiny one, located just next to P+FANARI2 and has no road access (the rocky road that leads to P+FANARI2 passes above it. Originally it looked as a good beach with nice waters, but as we approached it, I noticed that the sea bottom was full of rocks. You can swim there only if you plan to moor off-shore. We did not swim there at all.
Beach P+FANARI4 is located in front of the nearby village. It looked nice and had some taverns. We did not swim there either.
Finally, there is a fish-farm between P+FANARI1 and P+FANARI2. Nearby, in they waypoint marked as F+LEFKADA1, you can catch some fishes yourselves.
